We're not worthy! - Alice Cooper fanlisting

About...

Fanlistings

Quite simply, a fanlisting is a site that gathers a list of fans of a particular subject. It is -not- a mailing list. If you're concerned about your e-mail address being listed, simply state on the join form that you'd like it to be hidden.

This is the only fanlisting for Alice Cooper approved and listed by The Fanlistings Network. I adopted it in early 2007 from Rachel who was kind enough to let me take over. Rachel had named the fanlisting "We're Not Worthy!" and I gladly kept that name. It's from this scene in the movie Wayne's World.

Alice Cooper is my favourite musician and the reason I got into rock n' roll as a teenager. If it hadn't been for him I probably wouldn't had ventured into the world of rock and metal and for steering me on to that path I'm eternally grateful.

Alice Cooper

Alice Cooper was born February 4, 1948 (as Vincent Furnier). He's an American rock singer, songwriter and musician whose career spans over decades. With a stage show that featured guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood and boa constrictors, Cooper drew equally from horror movies, vaudeville, heavy metal and garage rock to create a theatrical brand of rock music that would come to be known as shock rock.

"Alice Cooper" was originally a band name with Vincent Furnier being the frontman and portraying the lead persona. In 1974 Furnier legally changed his name to Alice Cooper and launched a solo career.

Alice Cooper is known for his social and witty persona offstage, The Rolling Stone Album Guide going so far as to refer to him as the world's most "beloved" heavy metal entertainer. He helped to shape the sound and look of heavy metal. He is also credited as being one of the first to bring storylined theatrics to the rock/pop concert stage in the late 1960s.

Away from music, Cooper is a film actor, a golfing celebrity, a restaurateur and, since 2004, a popular radio DJ with his classic rock shows "Nights with Alice Cooper" and "Breakfast with Alice".
